The Fair Trade Fair is held at Aalto-sali in Jyväskylä, on the 15th and 16th of September, 2006. It is an open, fair trade related happening without an entrance fee. Various performers will be giving a colourful and multicultural stage show. There will also be many exhibitors from around Finland.

On the stage there will be dance, music, theater, and discussion of related social views. Ms Sonali Shrestha, a fair trade producer guest from Nepal will arrive to tell how fair trade has affected her and her collagues lives. Ms Sonal speaks English fluently, and will speak on the stage about the producer organisation Mahaguthi, that she works in. In addition, it is possible to converse with her on her own exhibition stand.

Children will have their own program in a special "Children’s Corner", where it is possible for them to play, draw and have their face painted with various face paintings.

Exhibitors include various special Fair Trade shops (World Shops), co-operative development organisations, as well as other similar organisations.

Aalto-sali is located at downtown Jyväskylä, at address Väinönkatu 7. The fair will be open at:

Friday 15.9., from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday 16.9., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
